THE ROOTS OF HIS ACT go back to his teenage years in the 1960’s when he entertained friends with his Dean Martin impression. It wasn’t long before he was singing in Jersey Shore clubs with the Gordon James Band, performing his renditions of Dino favorites, such as Everybody Loves Somebody and his show stopping Return To Me. Rich, a graduate of The College of New Jersey and The University of Pennsylvania, has always had an involvement and a passion for the creative arts. He received vocal training from Julliard’s John Mace. In the late 1970’s Rich went on to develop an interest in filmmaking and directed numerous comedy film shorts including Diogenes, which earned him statewide notoriety with its frequent cablecasts and an distribution contract from ICAP in New York City. Even then, he was writing and performing original music in his films. Rich also led a theatrical improvisational group, which was featured on his local Cablevision TV show, Interactions. In the 1990’s he wrote and produced the first of 6 original CD music collections. One of those CD’s, Fools Paradise, was featured at the AUR website. Now he has channeled all of his creative energies into bringing back the act of one of the greatest entertainers of all time, Dean Martin. Appearing in venues around the country, Rich is gaining a reputation as America's best re-creator of Dean’s vocal style.
